Feral Horses of Monte Christo

Feral-Horses

Everybody knows the forever hungry feral horses of Garub, in the south of Namibia. We host are own feral horses at Farm Monte Christo, regular visitors to Archers Land – not so hungry though.

A group of eight feral horses and a single, beautiful stallion are roaming around up and downstream the Otjiseru river and take great interest in our 3D targets. Especially the larger targets like Wildebeest, Kudu and Sable antelope seem to attract the horses in a special way. They might think, “What’s that beautiful thing that doesn’t move and doesn’t smell”. To find out they rub their bodies against our targets which is nice to watch, but we constantly have to check the targets, because the horses seem to find it funny to push over the animals.
